Dear Students, Parents, Staff, and Community Members,.

Houston County Schools is proud to have a team of exceptional educators and staff who are dedicated to providing a high-quality education for every child. We take great pride in our strong work ethic and in fostering an environment where students are seen as individuals. A large percentage of our educators have children enrolled in our schools, which speaks volumes about the trust and confidence they have in our system.

My wife, Kristina, taught special education in Houston County for twenty-five years, and our two children, Kasey and Lana Kara, attend school in the district. For over twenty-five years, I’ve had the privilege of serving as an educator in Houston County. I’m honored as I begin my second term as Superintendent of the very system that has given me so many opportunities. Each of our schools is a true reflection of its community, and our citizens take great pride in supporting them.

We’re proud of all that our teachers and students have accomplished in recent years, and we remain committed to continually improving our school system for the benefit of our students and community. We hope this website is helpful and answers any questions you may have about our school system.
